約翰福音3:1-14 (CUV)

1有一個法利賽人，名叫尼哥底母，是猶太人的官。
2這人夜裡來見耶穌，說「拉比，我們知道你是由神那來作師傅的；因為你所行的神蹟，若沒有神同在，無人能行。」
3耶穌回答說：「我實實在在地告訴你，人若不重生，就不能見神的國。」
4尼哥底母說：「人已經老了，如何能重生呢？豈能再進母腹生出來嗎？」
5耶穌說：「我實實在在的告訴你，人若不是從水和聖靈生的，就不能進神的國。
6從肉身生的就是肉身；從靈生的就是靈。
7我說：『你們必須重生』，你不要以為希奇。
8風隨著意思吹，你聽見風的響聲，卻不曉得從那裡來，往那裡去；凡從聖靈生的，也是如此。」
9尼哥底母問他說：「怎能有這事呢？」
10耶穌回答說：「你是以色列人的先生，還不明白這事嗎？
11我實實在在的告訴你，我們所說的是我們知道的；我們所見證的是我們見過的；你們卻不領受我們的見證。
12我對你們說地上的事，你們尚且不信，若說天上的事，如何能信呢？
13除了從天降下、仍舊在天的人子，沒有人升過天。14摩西在曠野怎樣舉蛇，人子也必照樣被舉起來，

You Must Be Born Again

3 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus[a] by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again[b] he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.[c] 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You[d] must be born again.’ 8 The wind[e] blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

9 Nicodemus said to him, “How can these things be?” 10 Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things? 11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you[f] do not receive our testimony. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.[g] 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
